Nationwide Campaign Launched to Fund Rabies Vaccine Study

Pet advocate Kris Christine of Alna, who led the charge to clarify the state's canine rabies vaccine laws and, more recently, to institute pet vaccine disclosure regulations, has now helped launch a fund for a rabies vaccine challenge study.

The research will require at least a million dollars to cover the cost of conducting both a five-year and seven-year controlled study. World-renowned pet vaccine researcher and veterinarian Dr. W. Jean Dodds of California is initiating the nationwide fund campaign with Christine and will be its trustee.

Many of us involved in pet vaccine research have wanted to do this for a while," she commented.
