INFORMATIVE POSTS
There have been a lot of *false* posts going around lately, around ! Many have fallen victim to forwarding posts that were sent to a list without *making a phone call* or *sending an email* to verify the information was accurate.
So, if you are planning on having us post a newsworthy article, from somewhere or someone, it must have the source in the post, somewhere.
The *source* (link, phone number, or email) must be there, so others can verify the information before they cross post it if they desire to.
By requiring this, we help protect our members from false reports and unnecessary scares, as well as unknowingly passing on false information to others.
We encourage all of you, if you see such a post on a list or forum, please phone or email and find out if it is legitimate…..Don’t just assume it is accurate, or trustworthy and send money and/or pass on the scare. If it is on the up and up, they should be able to provide you with enough info to prove it is. If not, then it might be a good idea to skip forwarding it or posting it. Now-a-days, most have websites also…with phone numbers and places of contact and should be able to prove the information is true and/or legitimate with no problem. Please DO NOT send Virus scare posts please to any of the boards!!
