Traveling with our pets today is a really huge situation.
Some airlines allow pets to be put under your seat if you have the proper accepted container. Others do not. Some allow only two pets per cabin at one time. Some do not allow any at all and then the options are to *ship them * as freight or in the baggage. {{{shudder}}} and {{{double shudder }}}
Now I know full well that many, many pet owners, breeders and those who show, use these services all the time and are just fine with them. But, not me. It will never happen :!: But, of course that is just my opinion and of those that happen to agree with me and I do know more than a few who feel this way :)
So, for those of you who are planning on traveling with your pet(s) here is a link to AIRPLANE PET POLICIES http://www.pettravelcenter.com/page_items/itemList/49 which will take you to a site page with an alphabetical list of various air lines and their Pet Policies :)
You may also find a wealth of great insight to traveling if you read the article PREPARING FOR AIRLINE TRAVEL by Lois Jean http://www.animalsspeak.org/prepare-for-airline-travel-by-lois-jean-t234.html posted here on the forum, as she frequently travels and has some very good insight on making the trips run smoothly and some do's and don't ;) Written by Pam Myers
