PLEASE TAKE A FEW MOMENTS OF YOUR TIME and HELP FEED ANIMALS A BOWL OF FOOD

CLICK THE LINK THE BELOW AND THEN CLICK THE PURPLE BOX ON THE SITE

The Animal Rescue Site always needs to meet its quota of getting free food donated every day to abused and neglected animals.

It takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on "feed an animal in need" for free. This doesn't cost you a thing.

Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate food to abandoned/neglected animals in exchange for advertising. (Weight Watchers is one of the sponsors!)

Here's the web site! Click on this link, and when the site opens, click on the purple box that says Feed an Animal for free. That's it! Pass it along to people you know!

The Animal Rescue Site : FEED AN ANIMAL IN NEED

What is The Animal Rescue Site?
The Animal Rescue Site (at www.theanimalrescuesite.com) is an online activism site that gives Internet users the daily opportunity to quickly make a difference in the life of an abandoned or neglected animal awaiting adoption in a shelter or living in an animal sanctuary. In less than a minute, visitors to The Animal Rescue Site can click on the "Feed an Animal in Need" button and, at no cost to them, provide food for an animal at a shelter or sanctuary. This food is paid for by The Animal Rescue Site's sponsors and distributed by our charity partners: The Fund for Animals (fundforanimals.org) and North Shore Animal League America (nsalamerica.org). The Animal Rescue Site was founded on July 1, 2002.

Why are abandoned animals so important?
There are over 10 million animals abandoned and put to death in the United States every year. Many millions more are neglected or treated cruelly. Helping to find secure homes and food for these animals makes the world a better place, but this does not mean that you have to choose between animal welfare and human welfare. There is enough food on the earth to feed all of its inhabitants both human and animal, but it is poorly distributed. Feeding neglected animals and finding them homes does not take food away from starving people. It is possible to click to reduce hunger, provide free mammograms, provide basic, critical health services to children and protects rainforest and wilderness land as well as help animals every day through our family of cause-related Web sites, owned by CharityUSA.com, which includes The Animal Rescue Site.

What happens when I click on the "Feed an Animal in Need" button? Does it cost me anything?
Two things happen when you click on the "Feed an Animal in Need" button: 1) your click is registered with our computer server and is added to the daily results; and 2) you are shown our thank you page and our site sponsors' ads. There is absolutely no charge to you -- the site's sponsors fund the purchase of food to feed an animal awaiting adoption or living in an animal sanctuary.

How will the funds be used?
Funds generated by your daily click go to our charity partners: The Fund for Animals and North Shore Animal League America. Funds go to provide food and care to animals awaiting adoption or living in the animal sanctuaries.

How can I be sure the animals will be cared for?
All charity partners of The Animal Rescue Site are registered not-for-profit organizations with excellent records of protecting and caring for abandoned and neglected animals. These organizations were selected for the quality of their projects, and both have a contractual obligation with The Animal Rescue Site to use these funds for the purpose specified. It is possible to visit both facilities. For more information about adopting a pet through North Shore Animal League America, visit their site at www.nsalamerica.org

For more information on The Fund For Animals, visit their site at www.fund.org

Why are the site sponsors willing to pay to help feed abandoned animals?
Our sponsors pay to feed neglected animals as a form of advertising and public relations. For some, it is simply good advertising. For others, it is analogous to funding shows on public television or making corporate donations to other worthy causes. It allows them to get their name in front of people, to be associated with a good cause, and to generate goodwill toward their company.

How do you calculate the amount of food provided by visitors' clicks?
Your daily clicks on the "Feed an Animal in Need" button, along with other visitors' clicks, generate funds that enable our charity partners to feed abandoned animals. The amount of funding generated with each click depends on the type and structure of advertising agreements in place and the number of visitors who click. We calculate monthly feeding goals based on expected levels of support from visitors and advertisers.

The two keys to the success of The Animal Rescue Site are sponsors and visitors like you. The more sponsors the site has, the more food provided with each click. The more visitors who click each day, the more abandoned animals that are fed. So please remember to click every day.

How much of the funds go toward food for animals?
All of the money collected from our sponsors for their banner advertisements -- 100% of sponsor banner advertising -- goes to feed animals.

How much food will be provided because of my clicks?
Please see our Daily Results page for a detailed answer to this question. We have averaged one bowl of food per click since the site was started.

How many times can I click on the "Feed an Animal in Need" button? Can I just keep clicking and fund hundreds of bowls at once?
You can click once a day on the "Feed an Animal in Need" button on The Animal Rescue Site. Our agreement with our sponsors only allows us to count one click, per person, per calendar day. A monitoring system is set up to check this. While you could click on the button a hundred times, only one click would count. In the meantime, our system would be slowed down, or possibly overloaded, preventing other visitors' clicks from generating funding for care for abandoned animals. Please note that we do count clicks received through company firewalls, proxy servers, etc., to the best of our ability. We make every effort to count every click as fairly and accurately as possible.

Since you're limited to one click each day, it's important to remember to click every day. Our reminder emails can help. Another way to remember to click every day is to make The Animal Rescue Site your home page. Click here for instructions.

When does the new calendar day start?
The new calendar day starts at midnight United States Pacific Standard Time. This is 08:00 Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)

Why am I seeing cookie requests when I visit your site? Are they required?
There are two situations in which this may occur. First, some of our underwriting sponsors (whose banners are loaded from their sites, not ours) may attempt to drop cookies for tracking purposes. Second, we may drop cookies to track your click history, in order to show you how often you have clicked. Please note that showing your giving history on the thank you page is currently disabled, but we hope to offer it again in the future. Neither of these is required to care for abandoned animals, and you may feel free to reject cookies without any impact on your click.

What is The Animal Rescue Site's privacy policy?
The Animal Rescue Site deeply respects the privacy of its visitors. You are not required to provide any personal information to visit the site and feed an abandoned animal free of charge. You can view a complete copy of our privacy policy by clicking here.

What is The Animal Rescue Site's communication policy?
The Animal Rescue Site respectfully requests that people do not send unsolicited messages promoting The Animal Rescue Site to people they do not know, or post inappropriately to newsgroups or in other places. We understand that this is done with good intentions. However, anything regarded as unsolicited email (spam) is not helping our cause but, in fact, is hurting it. Unsolicited email can alienate people who might otherwise visit The Animal Rescue Site and help feed and care for abandoned animals.

Is The Animal Rescue Site a nonprofit organization?
No, The Animal Rescue Site is not a nonprofit organization. Please visit our About Us page for more information.

Can I link my Web site to The Animal Rescue Site?
Yes, anyone can link to The Animal Rescue Site. Click here for more information and a collection of buttons and banners. Another great way to help is to include The Animal Rescue Site URL (http://www.theanimalrescuesite.com ) in the signature block of your outgoing messages.

Can I make a financial donation directly to The Animal Rescue Site?
No, The Animal Rescue Site does not accept financial donations. However, you can donate directly to our beneficiary partners: The Fund for Animals and North Shore Animal League America.

Where can I find more information on charities?
A good place to start is with "charity rating" services. These can tell you which organizations do the most good, spend the highest percentage of funds for actual human aid or environmental protection and in general meet high standards of giving. The American Institute of Philanthropy, the National Charities Information Bureau, and the Philanthropic Advisory Service of the Council of Better Business Bureaus all publish information for this purpose, some of it available over the Internet. You can also find information about specific charities on-line from places like Guidestar or the National Charities Information Bureau, available either through their Web site or by writing to NCIB, 19 Union Square West, New York, New York 10003.
