It always amazes me what these companies put in our pets foods and snacks! They do not think about *build up* or the size of a pet either! They always tout the *tiny* amount as being safe.
I am so glad that learned about so many of the Commercial pet food nasties, before I got 7 lb Lil-Lea ! She eats Lil-Lea raw from the grocery store, and never feed her any pet snacks. And even that scares me with all the human food recalls! She gets a few bites of my pops. chips or popcorn, but not much ! Mostly raw meats which I vary and veggies and fruits when she wants to eat them. I also sprinkle fresh powdered ground egg shells on her food every day to make sure she gets enough calcium.
Sorry Barkster, I wish I had found better news for you, but it what I found did not surprise me. That is why I took Lil off all commercial foods! I realize not everyone can do that though. But if they can, I recommend they do! The man food chain is in bad enough shape...... but the Pet Food Industry is down right scary and nauseating.
